Background

On May 13th Burnside Gorge Community Association hosted a Virtual Community Town Hall regarding the transition of campers from Topaz & Pandora into hotels and facilities in the Burnside Gorge neighbourhood. This Community Safety Forum is a direct outcome of the Town Hall. We are excited about this next step in addressing some of the challenging issues we are facing in the neighbourhood.

  1. Thank you for hosting this Safety Forum. Thank you also to Victoria Police Department for your participation.

  2. Hi Nola. Thanks for your comment.

We, the Burnside Gorge Neighbours Organization (i.e. the people behind this site) are participating in the meeting as neighbours. The Burnside Gorge Neighbourhood Association (BGNA) is organizing the meeting, and we’re grateful for their continued efforts.

We are working together with the BGNA toward common goals, but we’re not affiliated.

I just wanted to make the distinction. 🙂
